USCGC STORIS Life and Death of a Queen

Coast Guard Cutter STORIS blog by Jon A Ottman

The USCGC STORIS: Life and Death of a CG Queen Blog tells the story of the nationally historic US Coast Guard Cutter STORIS (WMEC-38), her legendary career and how the US Government sold her for scrap rather than promote her preservation as a living history museum ship and training vessel.  The blog is a public repository of information related to the ship, including links to related news stories as well as substantial uploads of documents from the federal government obtained through the Federal Freedom of Information Act, including summary and analysis. This includes documentation from the General Services Administration, U.S. Coast Guard, Maritime Administration and Environmental Protection Agency.
